84This article illustrates the remedies to overcome frustration created by the jobs.
Frustration is a word, feeling and expression that makes life complicated and miserable. Frustration may lead to diverse important decisions, sometimes wrong and sometimes precise. I define frustration as a reaction of various phases of life. The fact is that each one of us has to deal with frustration at some juncture of life. If we deal with it well, we emerge as a conqueror. However, if we don’t, it sources difficulties in life.
We may feel frustrated due to numerous reasons like family care, debts, job etc. Frustration due to job is the most complex one and is fatal for earnings.
I understand the type of frustration jobs can create, as I have been through the difficult situations myself. I even quit one of my jobs due to frustration but I later realized that I took wrong decision.
Frustration can be defined as a psychological phase that could develop due to some unhealthy or unwanted situations at work. I know there are situations when you are jammed with a type of work that you don’t want to do but you are jammed because of your obligations in life.
Believe me! It is very easy to deal with frustration and I will explain you the ways to deal with it:
Remedy 1 : Patience
Patience is the best medicine for frustration and this medicine should be with you always, to tackle real time frustration problems. I know there are situations when your boss may shout at you or point you for an error, which you have not committed. One thing that can help you with these situations is, 'patience'. Patience is an indirect power to exhale frustration and if you have this strong patience power, you can win countless situations. I take this oppurtunity to give you an example from my life. Once my boss was shouting at me and I was already frustrated with the work that he had allocated to me. I felt like shouting back at him but then I decided to be patient and remained quite. Later, I collected complete data and went back to my boss with proofs of him being wrong. I did not shout at him but remained assertive. He then realized his error. Patience really worked for me in the particular situation and gave me satisfaction. Similarly, if you consider this seriously for yourself, patience can be an excellent tool to deal with many situations.
Remedy 2: Intelligence
I define ‘intelligence’ as a weapon to fight frustration. I seriously believe that everyone is intelligent enough. Different people may have diverse intelligence levels but it always there. When you get excessively frustrated for something, you should use your intelligence and think if this frustration is helping you anyways. Think, what is it giving you? If you think you will get to know that it is probably escalating your blood pressure, is giving you supplementary stress, is accumulating to your unenthusiastic thoughts and is also suggesting you to do something unethical. When you get too frustrated, it is the time when you should think intelligently about the ways to calm down. You should tell your mind to be quite and should pay attention to your heart. Your heart will tell you to get out of that place for some time and relax. There are several ways to calm down. This includes taking leaves from the job and going out for holiday or just spending some good time with friends. In a real time situations when you think that you are too angry and will burst out, you should get out of particular situation and relax for five minutes. In these five minutes think about something that you like, probably your dream car, dream holiday or about your lovely life partner.
Remedy 3: Talking
The third level of problem solving approach is, 'talking'. If you have been patient enough and you think that intelligence is not serving, you should talk about the circumstances. If it’s your boss who is creating this intensity of frustration, talk to him with your points and see if you get some satisfaction. Sometimes the bosses are too assertive and this can take your frustration to heights. This is the time when you should definitely speak to someone you are very close to. This could be your husband/wife, friends etc. Believe me talking helps. I understand that some of you would rather prefer sitting alone at the corner however, I have personally experienced that talking helps you to vent out.
Remedy 4: Hard Work
'Hard work' is the last but not the least remedy of frustration. If you are frustrated for something, you will need to work hard to resolve your problems completely. If you don’t like your job or the work you do and have applied all the remedies to fight your frustration levels, you will have to work hard to change the job. You will have put in the extra efforts to work hard to get that extra requisite in your life. You should not get more frustrated if you do not get your desired job, rather you should understand that something is missing in your effort and you should work further hard to achieve success. Hence, it is better to use hard work as an alternate to frustration. Trust me, it will help you more than anything else.
Finally, I wish to convey that Patience (P), Intelligence (I), Talking (T) and Hard work (HW) are the finest solutions of your job frustration troubles. I describe it as ‘PITHW- Remedy’ for frustration. Therefore, follow the PITHW remedies and overcome job frustration.
